Tom DeSanto
Executive Producer

Tom DeSanto is a self described pop culture junkie. Tom is the proud owner of more than 30,000 comic books and dreamed of bringing the characters of the X-Men comic book to the screen since the age of twelve. DeSanto started working with Bryan Singer in 1995 and co-produced Singer’s “Apt Pupil”. It was DeSanto’s take on the X-men which brought Singer into that world in 1996. In addition to his duties as executive producer on “X-Men”, DeSanto co-wrote the story for the film which earned over $300 million worldwide.

After the success of X-men DeSanto pulled “Battlestar Galactica” out of mothballs and developed Galactica for Universal Television. Battlestar Galactica was the number one rated mini-series on cable in 2003. DeSanto also returned as part of the guiding force for “X2: X-Men United” which earned over $400 million box office worldwide. DeSanto is currently writing the storyline and producing a live action version of Transformers for Dreamworks and Paramount, which Steven Spielberg is Executive Producing.
