Movie Chat this weekend: Ghostbusters!
Get ready to prepare for the coming of Gozer! Movie Chat this weekend
features none other than "Ghostbusters." Join us Saturday on our IRC server
at 5:30 pm EST when we pop our copies of the movie into the DVD player and
press start. We plan to take a break midway through the film, to allow for
stretching of fingers. Barliman will be on hand to serve drinks and snacks
(and to enforce the house rules). Don't forget to buy some Twinkies! [More]

LOTR Symphony Review
attridge writes: I just went to the 100th performance of Howard Shore's The
Lord of the Rings Symphony. It was a feast for the ears, eyes & heart! The
soloists were wonderful. The young lady (16 years old) has been the featured
soloist at 4 other cities already before San Francisco. The boy soprano
soloist was a very talented local SF boy from the Boys Chorus of SF. The
addition of the SF Girls Chorus was really exciting, as well.
