LOTR IMAX Marathon in Toronto
Isometric Projections will screen The Lord of the Rings trilogy at the
Ontario Place Cinesphere IMAX Theatre in downtown Toronto next month. One
Marathon showing of all three movies is planned, as well as, individual
screenings of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of
the King.

Jackson sues New Line Cinema over LOTR profits
Spotted in The Hollywood Reporter apparently directly from AP: The
Associated Press says that director Peter Jackson’s production company,
Wingnut Films, has sued New Line Cinema over profits from The Lord of the
Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

Tolkien on Film: Essays on PJ's LOTR
Turgon writes: A new book is out: TOLKIEN ON FILM: ESSAYS ON PETER JACKSON'S
THE LORD OF THE RINGS, edited by Janet Brennan Croft, and published by The

Cate Blanchett Wins Oscar!
Cate Blanchett has just won an Oscar for Best-Supporting Actress! Cate was
on hand to accept the award and thanked the Academy, she said it was an
'indescribable surprise', she thanked her husband and her agents. She also
thanked everyone involved in 'The Aviator' and said to Martin Scorcesse 'I
hope my son will marry your daughter!'
