Tolkien/Lewis Conference in San Diego
Paul sends in word on the following: As theatres continue to resonate with
the sounds and images of The Lord of the Rings and the media begin to stir
in anticipation of a December 2005 feature film release of The Lion, the
Witch, and the Wardrobe, come join together with seekers and Christians of
many traditions to celebrate the extraordinary gifts of Inklings’ C.S. Lewis
and J.R.R. Tolkien while also considering the greater significance of their
works for our time.

Astin's 'There and Back Again' to Hit Shelves this Fall
Ringer Spy Diana alerted us to this press release right here. Amongst others
it states that Sean Astin's book about his months on set, 'There and Back
Again: An Actor's Journey' will be available for publication sometime this
fall. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

MS writes: MidSouthCon 22 and DeepSouthCon 42, both conventions of some
longevity, are combining this year to be held jointly in Memphis from March
26-28, 2004. Several guests, including James Swanger, the founder of the
Middle Earth Gaming Association, and Dr. Amy H. Sturgis from Belmont
University ("Harry Potter is a Hobbit"), will be speaking and participating
