Here it is, the weekly newsletter! Enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------
Rings Roundup (Top headlines of major interest)
---------------------------------------------------

TTT Nabs 5 MTV Movie Award Noms!
MTV has just released their nominations for the 2003 Movie Awards. I think
the Powers-That-Be at MTV are overlooking Andy Serkis much like the Academy
Awards, they're nominating 'Gollum' for best team and best virtual
performance instead of ANDY SERKIS...what do we have to do to get Andy some
respect?!?!!!!

"The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" and "Spider-Man" lead the crop of
nominees for the 2003 MTV Movie Awards with five nods apiece. The 12th
annual awards ceremony will be taped May 31 at Los Angeles' Shrine
Auditorium for broadcast June 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, according to a network
spokesperson.

ROTK Re-Shoots...RIGHT NOW?
Ex-Pom writes: The reshoots have started! A mate of mine did some extra work
for The Last Samuri in Taranaki, NZ and the same crew he worked with on for
that picture gave him a buzz the other day to ask him to do some extra work
for ROTK as an Ork which he has been doing for the last two days. Apparently
this shoot has overrun and will be ongoing until the end of the week.

TORN's Own Book: The People's Guide to J.R.R. Tolkien

Cold Spring Press is pleased to announce its new book "The People's Guide to
J.R.R. Tolkien." This book of essays fills the void between the release of
the second and third Lord of the Rings movies. Passionate, ardent,
well-informed, and unlike any other book on the subject, this is an
indispensable handbook for people who consider themselves experts -- or who
wish to become experts -- on the lore of Middle-earth and the man who made
the myths.
