Yes! A consideration should definitely be on getting those folks to the
bash affordably. Boston was expensive, but it was a great time. Getting
tossed out of the bar at only 2am was weird for me. Bars around here are
open till4am. :) I think part of the draw of Vegas is the cost and ease
of getting there from almost anywhere. And, to say that there isn't much
to do there is just not quite on target. There are loads of A+ shows to
see there in the evening. Just a walk on the strip is really an amazing
experience. Gee, I might even be able to get my hubby to attend there.
:) But, the most important part of the Bash is the people! And, it's
time to move the bash west so that those in that area have a chance to
attend. Of course, this is all just my own humble opinion and I know
that not all will agree with me. But, after having attended the Boston
bash, I would really like to see a chance for others to attend also

Here's my thought on this...
I really enjoy hanging out with everyone - Fran said my
expression/demeanor/relaxation-level after Barlibash was the best she
saw
in years.
I'd fly anywhere to meet all of you again. I don't care if we all decide
on
Minot North Dakota in February, at a AAA one-diamond hotel.
I'd suggest we FOCUS ON COST/CONVENIENCE EASE FOR MANY, at a place that
has
at least a few fun things for us to do, vs. trying to focus on making
Barlibash the ultimate vacation event. I think we each have to use the
non-Barli-time of our life to optimize our private vacation experiences.
The best hotel, the food, the proximity of a Tolkien event, the views
out
the window, well I'd trade all of those if it meant that instead of
getting
those, we picked a place that more of us could get to.
