To My Fellow Boston Barlibashers:
Thanks to you all as a group for such a fun and unpredictable weekend! Thanks to your openess and friendliness, I felt very much that I was amongst friends throughout the recent days. Here's some notes to some of you:
Daisy/Philippa and Charliems: Daisy, you're so beautiful both inside and out and I'm impressed with your strength in picking up and moving to a new country (I hope we don't scare you into returning up north). Thanks for taking the lead in the whale-watching and I'm so glad we got to do it together! My best wishes for a happy future for the two of you.
djdeathkiss/Rebecca and mr.djdeathkiss: I so enjoyed meeting you both and how much fun we had talking and hanging out. I really wish Kansas was a lot closer, and next year we definitely have to go dancing!
Julie and Corvar/Bill: it was nice to meet you both. Julie: thanks for all your help in coming up with our gorgeous hotel and any subsequent arrangements, as well as those for Legal Seafoods and Dick's. Hey...what's a table dance? lol...
sheelf: thanks so much for your help in navigating on Friday to and from the museum. I missed saying good-bye to you and really missed you at the party, but you are such a sweet and friendly person, I'm appreciative having the pleasure of meeting you finally!
Polly/Beruthiel: you are an absolute riot! And you're adorable, as well. I love your uninhibited nature and how easy it is to talk to you. Don't forget us in Hall of Fire!! I'm sure you breed a great cat...lol!
Angmar and Nocturna: you both make a beautiful couple in your combination of light and dark. BUT, you two are both too sweet and gentle to really pull off a pair of Ringwraiths, no matter how good your costumes are! Although, I fully enjoyed listening to that one table of guys loudly freak out when you walked though the hotel bar on Sat. night. Don't forget to try bobby pins or those tiny hair clips w/that costume before Halloween.
JPB/Joel: I'm so glad you joined us on Sat. to go take a trip on the ocean and get great views of Boston's architecture around the harbour...and oh yeah, we were out there to look for whales, weren't we?? I'll be thinking about you at my next borough council meeting and planning board meeting. :)
the6thwalker: you are such a SOUTH Jersey girl!!! I hope your half of the state doesn't cecede any time soon.
MissKitty: wear that beautiful Arwen dress with pride!
balin: /mallorn bows to the gentle, noble and friendly dwarf-lord in gratitude for his kind nature.
Sirielle/the6th/Arwen/djdeathkiss and mr.djdeathkiss: in regards to my performance playing LOTR Movie Trivial Pursuit: I REALLY did see the movies, honestly!!
maegwen: it also was great to finally meet you as well and was very glad that you decided to come up! I hope I don't have to take another 4.5-hour train ride to meet my most-nearby fellow TORNado.
Po and Elfriend: welcome to the US Elf!! We may make you wait to vote, but not to pay taxes. Po-I know you want to live back in Jersey, it's just a matter of time. Pompton Lakes gets enough water every time it rains, you would feel like you're back in Florida.
jincey and samgamgee: can we do this again next year?
hannaboffin/sue and tim: thank you both for a 94 degree swimming experience. I'll send you pics of any interesting swimming pool designs I may find in my travels.
****TO ALL THOSE IN THE NJ/NY METROPOLITAN AREA (and anyone else who will be around at the time):
mallorn and mr. mallorn will be cordially inviting all local TORNadoes to an upcoming October Barlibash follow-up party. Since there seems to be so many of us in the metropolitan area, it begs for our own party! And maybe this will give those who are local who couldn't make it up for Boston a chance to hang out a get a taste of what this past weekend was about.
Right now, I'm thinking Saturday, Oct. 9. We're in north western New Jersey, only about 40/45 minutes from NYC. Food fights are strictly prohibited INSIDE the house--and if you hold it outside and attract bears, you're on your own.
