Hello fellow Barlibashers, Saint here with some last minute instructions,
ideas, and plans for our little together (Which is coming up sooner than you
think!). Your Barlibashing TORn staffers have been working hard to get all
the peripheral plans in place, so here I am to inform you of what we've come
up with.

Since so many of last year's Barlibash attenders said they didn't want a
well-planned out itinerary of things to do while at Bash, we've opted to
toss together a rough little outline of how things will most likely shape
out. This is just an idea of a schedule for us, but it's better to have
some sort of plan, no matter how loose, than no plan at all. So what we're
looking at is:

Wednesday, July 24th: Everyone arrives at the hotel and gets settled in,
with a little reception in the evening.

Thursday, July 25th: An 'open' day. Seattle is a huge town with millions of
things to do, and this is your chance to do exactly what you want.

Friday, July 26th: Hang about the hotel, go swimming, spend some time in the
bar (oh yes), then our lavish banquet in the evening.

Saturday, July 27th: Massive downtown outing! Barlibashers go shopping and
sight-seeing in downtown Seattle. Since our hotel is only ten minutes away
from downtown, we can just hoof it and see where our feet carry us.

Sunday, July 28th: All good things must come to an end as our Fellowship of
Fun breaks apart, each us heading back to our own lives in the muggle
world.

And that's that. Like I said, a very loose schedule: But this is a good
thing, as we have plenty of room for spontaneity. If you have any ideas for
group trips that we could do, please feel free to speak up and send in
ideas, or just keep them in your head and bring 'em up in Seattle.

Try and get a vague sort of idea of the type of thign you'd like to do on
the 'open' days. Seattle is like any other major city, they have bookstores
and coffee shops and bars and museums and all those sorts of things, as well
as many 'touristy' type areas. The following links should give you a few
ideas on what there is to do:

Washingtonine & fellow Basher Gamgee says the Seattle Science Center and the
world famous Space Needle are two wonderful places to spend an afternoon.
You can find out more information on them here:

It's a good idea to get some sort of idea on Seattle's weather while
packing, and you can find out all you need to know here. Pack accordingly
(and don't forget your swimsuit!)

We do need a couple of things from all of you attending, and they are rather
important, so please do not overlook them:

1. Time is a-wasting to get your official Barlibash T-shirt. This will be
the only official 'souvenir' of Barlibash, so don't miss out on your chance
to take home a memento. You don't want to be the only one there without a
shirt, do you? Email Curunir@theonering.net right away to place your order
(Do it fast!)

2. For all of you flying into the Seattle airport (Sea-Tac): Our hotel, the
Westcoast Bellevue, offers a shuttle service to/from the airport to the
hotel (and back) for only $16.00 each way. They don't show any sort of
schedule for how often the shuttle runs - So you can either get there and
see how it goes, or you can call the hotel and find out at: 425-455-9444.

3. We need for every single Barlibash attender to send an email to
Jincey@theonering.net with the following information:
Let her know how you're getting to Seattle. If you're flying in, send her
your Flight #, which airline you're flying, and arrival/departure times.
Also let her know your contact info. Your name, whichever nickname you use
in the chatroom or on message boards (if applicable), your home phone
number, cell phone number (if applicable), and some sort of emergency info:
Someone we can call in case something happens to you while you're in
Seattle. Spouse, parent, whatever. Names and numbers would be much
appreciated.
It's better to have this information and not need it than to need it and not
have it. All of this is very important, so get your info to
Jincey@theonering.net ASAP!

That's essentially it, folks. You'll more than likely recieve a few more
emails from us before Bash with some last minute instruction type things -
But it's right around the corner (only 12 days away, by my reckoning!).

As always, if you have any questions email Curunir@theonering.net, and he'll
straighten you out with whatever you need.

Thanks for your time, folks: Please follow the steps we've outlined above,
in order to make certain aspects of Bash run as smoothly as possible. See
you folks in Seattle!

--Saint
