MAJOR SPOILERS ALERT!!!

On May 16th 2003, we received some images from the EA Games promo video for The Return of the King. These images were taken at the E3 event using a video camera. Unfortunately no video download is currently available.

Huge thanks to Ringer Spy Lajos for providing the source for these images.

This Frame by Frame was put together by TORn's doing-TORn-whilst-at-work staffers Maegwen, Arathorn and Pippin_Took, with thanks to WeeTanya

Gandalf, with Pippin in tow, rides Shadowfax with great haste through the avenues of Minas Tirith.

The citizens of Minas Tirith scatter as Gandalf nears the gates of the citadel.

Gandalf raises his staff to clear the path.

A closeup shot of Gandalf -- notice the top of Pippin's head.

Brandishing his wizard's staff, Gandalf assesses the situation. Could Gandalf be coming to the rescue of Faramir?

Gandalf pauses to gaze out into the distance. On Pelennor Fields, the battle rages on.

Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas take the Paths of the Dead on a short cut to Minas Tirith.

Legolas advances without fear

Aragorn senses more than just rock and earth from the cave around him.

Gimli the Dwarf experiences an unaccustomed fear in the darkness of the Paths
