Biography: (MOVIE ONLY CHARACTER - SPOILERS AHEAD) A native of Rohan, very little is known about the character of Morwen at this time. Though the name of Morwen does already exist in The Lord of the Rings as Théoden mother, the character of Morwen in the film is believed to be a leader amongst her people and one of the many refugees forced to leave Edoras for Helm's Deep. Like Lurtz in The Fellowship of the Ring, Morwen's character is a device to highlight a certain plot theme, in this case the plight and hardship of the Rohan people.
