Biography: Robyn Malcolm is a graduate of Toi Whakaari New Zealand Drama School and a founding member of New Zealand Actors Company. New Zealanders came to adore Robyn when she played Ellen Crozier on Shortland Street for six years. Prior to that she worked mainly in theatre. Notably, 23 productions at Downstage including Colin McColl’s Threepenny Opera and Macbeth. Worked with Simon Bennett in Twelfth Night, Conquest of the South Pole and Hamlet. She has performed in Othello twice and once played Oberon in A Midsummer Nights Dream, and has worked opposite Tim Balme in Much Ado About Nothing.
Recently Robyn returned to Downstage as Maggie in Colin McColl’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She is also appearing as Clare in the recent television feature based on An Unfortunate Experiment at National Women’s Hospital. She takes on the role of Morwen, a Rohan refugee, in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
