Subject:
Elrond in light of his father
Message:

I've been thinkig about dna's comments in the Open Forum.

So, in light of this chapter, I discover that Elrond is taking in his great-great-great-...nephew when he is raising Aragorn, no?  (And Elrond is not only Eldarion's grandfather but his great-great-great...uncle?)  Elrond's great-great-grandmother is Maia.  He is tri-racial.  Do you suppose this is why Elrond is trusted by men and dwarves while Galadreil is feared?

Wouldn't it make more sense if the Phial of Galadreil was the Phial of Elrond since it has the light of his father's Silmilarion?
