Pardon my brevity but I have a busy day today! I was thinking last night
about Tom's happiness in totally rejecting power, and it occured to me:
Has Tom really rejected all power? Tom has effectively isolated himself
from the rest of the world where he has all of the 'hobbity' comforts of
life: Going and coming, eating, singing, and dancing where and when as he
pleases. Does he really exemplify one that has forfeit power, or is he in
fact quite happily in control of his own envirnment. If one had all the
comforts of life, only the greedy heart would desire more. Whats really
going on here?
Thoughts??
