Kimi, I do apologise. That is certainly not what I meant to say. I know that
New Zealand have had the terrible misfortune of losing so many men in the world
wars. Hideous error of expression, not intention.
I just wrote a bizarrely complicated theory about Australian war memorials, but
it was too strange and emotional to post. I agree about all your points. In
fact, one could probably argue that the very lack of interest in hearing about
the reality leads to the large memorials and so on.
