and begins to compose 5000-word RR post on pillow-imagery in Lord of the Rings, including thoughts on bags, ends of bags, feathers, feathers in caps, hats that look like sacks, feather-beds, sleeping (soundly/ lightly/ uncomfortably/ in mail/ naked in stone towers), bowers of leaves, swooning on grass, being borne aloft by feathered creatures, and awaking after bad/good/mysterious dreams.
