Of course, you didn't bother to describe this particular horse, beyond color and gender, so who's to say she's anything like Giles's?

A few extremely brief answers to some of the quiz questions, to get the ball rolling, before I go off to grade real quizzes.

A.  Parody again, of course!  How much time in medieval literature or fantasy stories gets spent on describing the exact gear worn by the knight in shining armor?  We even see hints of this in something like the movie of TTT, with Aragorn and Theoden getting armed for Helm's Deep.  So naturally, we need to see Giles in this position.  And it makes for fun comparison with the "real" knights later on.

B.  The more anachronism the better in this story!

F.  To contrast with the later scene, Giles is much more practical and realistic than his fellow villagers, and perhaps less motivated by greed.  Dragon's treasure has a really bad effect on most people....
