But I really don't think that was in JRRT's mind :-)
It apparently just means hill or mound in Quenya. I've a feeling that Tolkien
mightn't have known the fish by that name, though; "tunny" seems to have been
the traditional usage in England (dating back to 1480 according to one
etymological dictionary). So it's just bad luck that he inadvertantly chose a
"fishy" name
