I think that it is merely coincidence, however Quenya was based on Finnish and Latin; Latin is somewhat similar to Greek, but not so much...not really sure actually. You'd think I'd know this after taking Latin for two years...but no. Anyways, sindarin is based on welsh, mainly. So yes, I think it is a coincidence.
