If I wish to start a thread I would always cut and paste that from Word, because for some unknown, sinister reason the screen refreshes (or whatever it is doing) really quickly in this situation.  Anyone know why?

When I am merely replying to a post, I would normally compose on the 'Post a Reply' screen, and just click on the timer, which freezes it.  I understand that may depend on your browser though?

It was very kind of you, Curious, to encourage the more timid poster.
