Common ancestry
Message:

Both Gondor and Arnor (the kingdom of Aragorn's ancestors) are culturally descended from the Numenoreans. Much of Aragorn's ancestry is Numenorean, and some of Faramir is. Aragorn's Rangers are also of Dunedain blood (i.e. ancesters dwelt in Numenor), but Faramir's are essentially Human, just with inherited Dunedain culture.

Both traditions share a common ancestry with the Dunedain, which was itself inherited from the Edain, who lived way, way, back, and were likely quite different from Humans as we know them (although they were still Mortal).
