and because squirrel meat is extremely dry, you prepare it (if possible) with
some bacon or ham to fatten it a bit. In the wild, your best bet is to
gather some wildberries of whatever sort (huckleberries, muscadines,
cranberries, etc.) to eat with it to compensate for the Saharan dryness of the
meat.
