in origin was founded and guided by Noldorin visitors from Valinor, as it says
in 'A Description of Numenor'. While the Gondolin blades were superior to
anything Numenor had ever made, the Numenoreans did not prefer the sleek,
graceful designs the Elves preferred, choosing instead long, powerful swords,
and small but effective shortswords (Isildur had both).
The Barrow-Blades were made especially to defeat the Witch-King, and the spell
was no doubt something learned from Numenor, which was learned from the Elves.
So the Barrow-Blade is something of an indirect Elven sword forged by Men with
Elven knowledge.
This is also what makes Narsil and later Anduril special- a Dwarven made sword
reforged with Elven-knowledge. Yet there is no spell or power in Anduril. It's
simply THE sword to
have.
There is but one task remaining in Arda-we,the Dragons of Valinor will make it happen.
