After all, it was because of the power of these two gret elf-lord/lady that lorien was protected for so long, even in the darkest days when neighbourhood housing values dropped when Sauron moved into Dol Guldur. Without Galadriel, and her ring, and Celeborn (who was probably no pushover, even if Galadriel steals most of the limelight) I'd be reckoning Lorien would be an unpleasant place to be sandwiched between the Orcs of Moria and the darkness of Dol Guldur.
