I was wondering if any of you could help me with a Tolkien riddle I've been
having. As I understand it, the Elves of Lorien were Silvan Elves, a branch of
the Teleri. Yet the Lord and Lady of Lorien were Celeborn, a Sindarin Elf, and
Galadriel, a Noldorin Elf. Why would members of the Teleri take a Lord and Lady
that were of the other two branches of Elven
kind?
