is a curse a spell?
Message:

I've been wondering about Grond. It's so huge and is probably custom built for bashing in Minas Tirith's steel gates. And there are  'spells of ruin' all over it. Could the spells be a form of curse that makes the destroyed thing completely ruined (rather than just plowed through) or atomized? Imrahil complains that there is no skill to rebuild the gate ,and Aragorn says only the Dwarves still have the skill.

The Gate therefore is also spellbound somehow-an Elvish/Dwarvish protection spell? or even good-guy Saruman? Grond sounds like a fearful weapon, one Mordor only uses for the big campaigns and it would take something  just as enchanted to stand up to it, even for a while...

There is but one task remaining in Arda-we,the Dragons of Valinor will make it happen.
