Thanks--we'll have to try again next year, alas. I have an oldenburg
daddy and an anglo-trakehner mom, and her previous filly was by a dutch
sire. We'll see if the Oldenburg helps her neck--in other respects, he's
built a lot like her, and they both have really, really good temperments.
Breeding is a little bit scary; it's like controlling creation, trying to make
the perfect horse. It's hard for me not to see a mare and think "ooooh,
she'd really match well with
X..."
Not all those who wander are lost.
