Galadriel did not do anything on the scale of the Sons of Feanor or Fingolfin
in the Sil, for good or evil.
Her only crime was not telling Melian about the Kinslaying and Feanor's crimes.
yet she already had a desire for power of her own from Valinor. No oaths she
swore, but she still wanted to go eastwards, to taste power away form the
Valar. Elrond was born in Middle Earth and doesn't have a taste for power like
his mother-in law.
Thata was a big difference between the Noldor and the Sindar- the Noldor were
more valiant, wise and powerful, but the Sindar had more patience and long term
endurance, having remained in Middle Earth.
Galadriel therefore might want the Ring (as she did the Elessar) to preserve
the world forever, making Arda a big Lorien. Elrond takes a different view of
his home- Rivendell is a refuge from the world without, yet it is not a realm
but a house. And why should he build a house that spans the
world?
There is but one task remaining in Arda-we,the Dragons of Valinor will make it happen.
