struck by the fact that each of the individuals (Gandalf, Aragorn, Galadriel)
who could most challenge Sauron if they possessed the ring were the ones most
tempted by it, and each were confronted with that temptation while the ring was
in Frodo's possession and in a place where they could wrest it from him if they
chose to. He always hid the ring from those who were a threat (Bilbo,
Boromir) but never pulled away from those who could be the greatest threat but
were, perhaps, brought to this moment with Frodo in order to conquer their
question or temptation. Having "passed the test," they were each able to
fulfill their OWN true destinies without that wonder... that "what if."
It's as if part of Frodo's quest was to also help them in addressing and
conquering a possible weakness or distraction from achieving their own
full-empowerment.

~Hug like a Hobbit~
"He's cool like an elf; he's got the heart of a hobbit; and he's mad like a wizard" ~ "He's a complete hobbit" (Orlando & Elijah describe Peter)
"Just shut your eyes and imagine you're back in your own bed with a soft mattress and a lovely feather pillow."
