discussed redemption(or the lack of it) in Tolkien's work. Some people discuseed that the only people that redeemed themselves were Lobelia and Boromir. I pushed it out of my mind, and that night watched FOTR for the zillionth time. When it got to the part where Boromir runs out to save Merry and Pip, all angry and such, it hit me. This never happens in the book. In the book , Boromir tries to take the ring, and then the next thing you know he's dead. Why? Doen't this seem unjust to a man who while ignorant, just wanted the best for his people. Thought? Ideas?
