They spend a lot of time searching for the trail in the Emyn Muil and examining the area around the dead orcs, making sure they don't miss any sign of the hobbits. The orcs just move ahead; they know where they are going.

The orcs reach the East Wall in about 8 hours; it takes the Three Hunters almost twice that, say 14 hours.
