About the War of Wrath...
Message:

I’d just like to know who of the Valar/Maiar you think was likely to have been involved in the Host of the Valar in the War of Wrath…

I know that the Vanyar and the remaining Noldor were involved, and that Eönwë, as the Herald of Manwë, was also the commander of those forces.

You would immediately expect Oromë and Tulkas to be involved, with their respective Maiar, but was this likely, since it is quite possible that the sinking of Beleriand was the work of Ulmo (or Ossë  – he did raise Numenor after all – he was very powerful!)?
How would Manwë have accepted command from his own herald?

Also, with the destruction of the Iron Mountains, you would expect Aulë to be involved, but could Maiar of his, like Curumo have been involved in his place?

I don’t remember either Tulkas or Oromë being mentioned – just Morgoth being thrust out into the Void, Eönwë taking the Silmarils and Sauron’s escape…

You would expect that some of the Valar would have had to take Morgoth and put him into the void, but then why were they not around to protect the Silmarils?
To hurry on and get Morgoth dealt with ASAP?
To ensure the Doom of Mandos comes to pass?

…It’s a quiet day, but I’d appreciate any ideas!
