when Aragorn picks up Pippin's and Merry's swords at Amon Hen, he states that
they are "wound about with spells for the bane of Mordor." Why shouldn't
the Nazgul have paused at the sight of these weapons? After all, we know
what happened when Merry stabbed the Witch-king in the thigh. Good
