Not exactly a prophetic dream, but Sam tells Frodo after meeting Gildor that he
seems to see ahead in a way. He already knows that the path ahead is dark, he's
made his decision and he's comfortable with it.
Besides, he didn't get trapped by Old Man Willow or dumped into the
Withywindle, either. The trauma was to his friends, not
himself.
