Seriously, though, I to have puzzled over the special way they seem taken with
her. It definitely mirrors their reaction to Galadriel — whom you'd
expect to enchant them because of her power. I think it suggests that
Goldberry has a power, too ... but as for exactly what it is (aside from
the obvious nature-derived ones), I couldn't say. It's another mystery of
this chapter, and I like
it.
