between what these words may have meant originally in the dawn of time and what
sorts of beings they were eventually used to denote. The descriptions
given of Cherubim and Seraphim in Ezekiel and Isaiah respectively simply have
nothing to do with any remotely possible etymology; and even if the etymology
were certain, it wouldn't affect the actual descriptions of these beings.
Words change their meanings and come to applied to different
things.
