There's blue in...

Goldberry's dress and the cape worn by Arwen at the wedding, at least. Those are the only two examples I can think of off hand. Yes, it's one of the less common colours I guess. Isn't blue associated with Manwe also? And the two mysterious Istari are blue of course... but then they are hardly main characters.

Black is found in a positive connection in the uniforms and standards of Gondor, and black hair is often considered particularly beautiful I think, Luthien and Arwen being the best examples. I wonder if the black colour in the Gondorian uniforms signals power and austerity, the way gold seems to also signal power both in a positive and negative context?
