Just to add - yes I too like to believe the entwivesentwivesentwives at least survive.

Makes me smile to think that with such longevity perhaps the entwivesentwivesentwives could see it as a small time to be parted from the entsentsentsents. Even if the elves have sung about the entsentsentsents' search for the entwivesentwivesentwives and they heard it maybe they're taking a rest. LOL.

Plus to add, on the origins of the entsentsentsents in LOTR Fangorn is described as the oldest living thing but he in turn attributes the elves with waking the trees, wanting to talk to all living things and so possibly in some way 'waking' the entsentsentsents. Another thought to bring a smile of elves in the starlight 'waking' the forest.
