Ah, I wondered who might stop by...
Message:

Good to see I'm not the only one who was feeling sentimental about this particular place on TORN!

It is odd how real a virtual place like this can feel!

My feelings are exactly the same as the ones I've had every time I've made a move to a new home or apartment.  Which goes to prove that a "home" is really about the experiences you have in a place, and the people you share them with, and not the real or virtual bricks they are made of.

Cheers to you, too, and glad you stopped by and keep hanging around!

I wanted to post here...

but couldn't think of anything intelligent to say. So I didn't. Now I just get to chat. I never bonded with this format that way a lot of you did and I still feel sad about leaving and, truth be told... I find the simple approach has it's charm. It's the white... I love all the white.

Well, this is the only thing I could think of to say good bye. It's from the song Howard Shore wrote to end ROTK - a song later replaced by Into the West. Of course, the lyrics are by JRRT, with some modification on Howard's part. I like this song a lot, better than Into the West. And it seems to work here, especially if you consider 'you' to be the boards, herself:

Round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate
And though I have passed them by
A day will come
I will take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon and East of the Sun
I’m glad that you are here with me,
here at the end of all things.

Night too shall be beautiful
and blessed and its fear will pass
I must leave, must cross the Sea
The love you gave is all I take with me
Use well the days
Use well the days
Turn your face to the green world
Use well the days

so, after hitting 'preview without spellcheck' one last time... I shall now hit 'post message'

Namarie
