Makes a pot of sage tea. |
Message: |
I'd been feeling pretty blue over the past month what with the Dark rising over
the twelve days of Christmas at my house, but I discovered that sage tea works
wonders on the mood. I even found a medical study that verifies that, and
found out that when the tea trade began, the Chinese traded their tea for
European sage at a rate of two parts sage for one part tea, because they liked
sage so much.
It tastes horrible, like drinking turpentine, but lemon juice helps. And
it does seem to calm a body down and cheer a body up! Good for hot
flashes too, though in the present cold weather I kind of welcome having my own
personal summer.
Both the Chinese and the ancient Romans had a saying that if you have sage
growing in your garden you'll never grow
old.
