Here's my report, with a few pics

Great report, gramma!  I posted this on my LJ Monday, but I thought I'd share it here too...

djdeathskiss and I got back to my place around 8:30 Sunday night after a fun-filled and totally unreal weekend. Like all moots I've been to, this weekend felt like I paused my "real" life to spend a weekend as my internet self. This one was remarkably well put together - I knew that Arevanye and Eomer's Woman/Force of Hobbit had worked hard on this, but they totally blew me away! I had such a great time at the mooting events and at the exhibit, I'm not sure I can do the weekend justice. You could even say the weather reflected our weekend - it was overcast the entire drive to Indy, until we reached the Indiana border, when the clouds parted and blue sky shone through. On the way home, it was again beautiful through Indiana and overcast everywhere else - degenerating into drizzle and then rain as we entered Georgia.

I thought the best way to share the weekend would be through pictures, so here are some of the best ones!

We wanted to stop in Elizabethtown, so we stopped on the way up. We took this picture in front of the tourist bureau, where deej cleaned them out of their E-town postcards and my camera took this picture of us. It seemed like a nice little town and I'm hoping the movie is good!

Saturday morning, we went to the exhibit.  The Argonath were there to greet us.  Everything about the exhibit was wonderful, except for the lack of good souvenirs or a guidebook.  It was awesome to see all the stuff from the movies up close - the amount of detail that never makes it onscreen is astounding.  I am still blown away by much of what I saw - especially some of the original John Howe and Alan Lee illustrations and watercolors.  Amazing.  Breathtaking.

On Saturday night, Loughmiller's Pub shut down for us.  I never seem to want to dress up, but I did for this, and I got dj to take a picture of me!  You can see my lovely nametag and the awesome buttons that HobbitLover*ME and her family brought!  Mine shows Pippin saying "What did you say was for dinner?"

One of the great pleasures of the weekend was meeting Estelwyn, who was absolutely fantastic!  I hope I can see her on her home turf sometime soon!  Here she is tending bar...okay, actually she's handing out raffle prizes!

Deej and I both played Jeopardy, though neither of us won!  Here she is with Ellen and JRandomRohirrim!

We had a good group at our dinner table too - here's me, deej, tosaanne, gramma, JRandomRohirrim, and sooo_sleepy!

There was a slide show set-up, and after seeing myself in many of the pictures, I determined I am a Moot-ho - meaning that I will go to any moot that will have me!  :)  Dj was also in a lot of the pics, so I think she's a Moot-ho too.  T-shirts coming soon...

I didn't get a picture of the whole group on my camera, but I did get one of the Atlanta folks - here's Taliesin and her husband with dj and me.

And finally, Sunday morning before we headed out on the road.  I think many of us (myself included) were fighting headaches and hangovers from the Saturday night fun at the Pub and in HobbitLover*ME's room - there was even champagne!

So, all in all, a fantastic weekend - and I haven't even touched on the Rathskellar restaurant or the Ghost Walk Friday night!  We missed those of you who couldn't make it, and I already miss those of you who did.

Until next time - this Moot-ho is going to concentrate on getting over her depression.
