Description:
In my front yard stands a beautiful and ancient yew tree. A few years ago, a winter storm broke several of the main branches from my tree and I was devestated. However, my brilliant son, 10 years old at the time, had read that yew branches make the best bows for serious archery. He took one of the broken branches and carved from it the most beautiful bow I've ever seen. He's quite skilled with it, also. I want to be like that--to be able to take the ruins of a tragedy and make it into something wonderful.
