Hi all,
I first read the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy in 7th grade and I religiously read it every three years or so (no pun intended). Most recently just after seeing the film of "Fellowship". Although I normally wait a few years between readings, I plan on re-reading it after viewing "The Two Towers".
I was nervous when the film announcement was made, but I loved the first film. I really loved the extended cut of the DVD (4-disc), especially since there were more scenes with Merry and Pippin (my two favorite characters).
I can't wait to see film 2 and I hope the full Merry, Pippin storyline is there (tho' I saw an Ent in the trailer, which makes me think it will work).
Boring stuff: I'm 33 and live with my three cats and two dogs in Michigan in the Northern US, which is snowy at the moment.
I work in the accounting dept of a medical TPA, or third party administrator (in other words, I process paper all day).
I've been a active media fan for years, but I frankly don't approve of fanfic for published works such as Tolkien or Darkover. Media fanfic tho' is fair game.
