I was given LotR a few days before my 10th birthday, and read it covers to covers twice in three days (iwas home from school with bronchitis at the time). My mother stopped counting how many times I had read it when I had reached 19 readings by the age of 13. Since then I have gradually accumulated a frighteningly large Tolkien library (well, a frighteningly large library of SF/Fantasy plus a veritable slew of medieval history and philosophy resources).
I majored in English Literature & Philosophy at university, hold graduate qualifications as a Fine Art Photographer, and post-graduate qualifications in Organisation Dynamics (think Organisational Psychology, and you're close to the mark). I've worked as a roadie, a barman, in sales in a games store, freelance journalist, sports photjournalist, freelance photojournalist, administrative officer, business process re-engineer, organisation dynamicist and a few other odds and sods. Currently I demonstrate medieval fighting for schools, make medieval armor and write social commentary for various lobby and interest groups whilst being full-time carer of our son, Peregrin.
My other hobbies include medieval historical recreation (SCA - Society for Creative Anachronism), where I am known as Master Gwynfor Lwyd, OP, Baron Stormhold, rock-climbing, photography and music (especially progressive and alternative rock).
