The Reading Room is intended to be a forum for critical analysis and on-topic
discussion of Tolkien's literary works. Reading Room threads usually stay "active"
for at least a week, permitting thoughtful discussions over an extended period.
The Reading Room features an ongoing chapter-by-chapter analysis of Lord of the
Rings where volunteers lead discussions of a new chapter each week. While the
Reading Room is not limited to this project, it is intended for similar literary
topics. Other topics should be posted to the appropriate TheOneRing.Net message
boards.
So please feel welcome, don't be shy (we don't bite!) and jump right in!
Whether you are a life-time Tolkien Scholar who wants to share an insight or a
