PJ Talks Kong DVD and more at Comic Con
>From comingsoon.net: First off, the presentation started with a Q&A with
Peter Jackson who was filming a DVD bonus feature for some unknown film (it
apparently wasn't King Kong). He indicated that he had hours and hours of
behind the scenes footage from his older films like Meet the Feebles and Bad
Taste. He indicated he wanted to do something with it in the next year, but
he had to arrange time to do it. He also stated that he and New Line would
like to do a "Super Uber Lord of the Rings" DVD box set. It's not official,
but they all want to do it. Jackson wants to do it showing the making of the
film from a different perspective.

Help Write Your 'Letter to PJ'
Project Organisers for 'Letters to PJ' write: Greetings! We are two
dedicated fans of the Lord of the Rings film trilogy who are compiling a fan
appreciation book, addressed to director Peter Jackson. The book, 'Letters
to PJ', is a custom made leather bound hardcover, which we plan to fill with
original fan contributions from all corners of the world, in the form of
e-mails, hand written letters, poems, art work and photographs. 'Letters to
PJ' is a project which gives fans (like us!) a chance to express their
admiration and gratitude towards those who worked so hard and long on the
film trilogy.

The Tolkien Fan's Medieval Reader, edited by Turgon

Over the years Tolkien's fondness for and indebtedness to medieval
literature has often been mentioned. His special devotion to older Germanic
literature, including Beowulf and the Eddas, has long been known, for as a
professor he taught these works in addition to teaching the languages in
which they were written. This anthology has been compiled in the hope of
sharing the pleasures of these -- and other -- classics of medieval
literature that were part of Tolkien's professional life and inspirations to
him in his creative work.
