TORN Digital XXI: Billy Boyd Talks ROTK
Carlene Cordova the director of "Ringers: Lord of the Fans" writes: Hello
fellow Ringers! As we're editing "Ringers" together we're discovering that
some of the interviews and footage that we're shooting would work better on
TORn than in our film. This interview is one example. This was shot at the
Nieman Marcus LOTR window unveiling in Beverly Hills, California last
December. Cliff "Quickbeam" Broadway is interviewing Billy, and Josh Mandel
was running the camera that evening. Enjoy!

SFX Magazine and Empire Cover Return of the One Party
Ringer Spy Irascian writes: The latest edition of SFX magazine (May 2004)
has a two page article “After the Gongs It’s Kong” based mainly around
TheOneRing.net party. There are five (rather scrappy) photo’s from the party
and also one of Viggo at the premiere of Hidalgo. Thanks to TORn Staffer
Arathorn we now have a scan of said article, here! And not only that, but he
also got his hands on the latest copy of Empire Magazine which also mentions
the party and our excellent beacon! Take a look at that scan here!

Rings' creatures down in the dumps
It could almost be a scene from Peter Jackson's The Return of the King. Two
decapitated winged creatures called Fell Beasts and their evil Nazgul
masters lie silently in an isolated field. Only this time, it is right next
to Wellington's main rubbish dump. The 20-metre-long beast and smaller
five-metre one are the same two nasties that had been perched atop the
Embassy and Reading cinemas from November last year for the world premiere
of The Return of the King. But more than a week ago they were removed.

TORN's Own Book: The People's Guide to J.R.R. Tolkien

Cold Spring Press is pleased to announce its new book "The People's Guide to
J.R.R. Tolkien." This book of essays fills the void between the release of
the second and third Lord of the Rings movies. Passionate, ardent,
well-informed, and unlike any other book on the subject, this is an
indispensable handbook for people who consider themselves experts -- or who
wish to become experts -- on the lore of Middle-earth and the man who made
the myths.
