'TORNsibs' Donations Needed!
Peter Jackson's Wellington Embassy Theatre needs your help! They are
currently going through massive renovations and are accepting donations! For
your donation (depending on the amount you give) you are given a seat in the
cinema with your name on it for a DECADE. I personally have my own seat, as
do most of the actors in LOTR. TheOneRing.net herself is buying a seat, but
WhiteAslan and other members of the TORN Message Boards wanted to do
something as well. They decided to buy a 'Platinum Seat', the last one
available. Take a look at her story.

Probe over early Rings DVD sales
Stores which broke a worldwide embargo for the release of The Lord of the
Rings: The Two Towers DVD face an investigation from the film's distributor.
Retailers across the UK were selling the DVD on Friday - it was supposed to
go on sale on Tuesday - after a supermarket put the film on its shelves at
midnight.

Action! Adventure! Earthquakes!
I was checking out LOTR locations in the South Island in order to lead one
of Red Carpet's November tours, when lo and behold, the ground started to
shake.

TORN's Own Book: The People's Guide to J.R.R. Tolkien

Cold Spring Press is pleased to announce its new book "The People's Guide to
J.R.R. Tolkien." This book of essays fills the void between the release of
the second and third Lord of the Rings movies. Passionate, ardent,
well-informed, and unlike any other book on the subject, this is an
indispensable handbook for people who consider themselves experts -- or who
wish to become experts -- on the lore of Middle-earth and the man who made
the myths.
