Dear Luin et al,

I too will be unable to attend Bash this year, and now that I've received
Curunir's email, I feel even worse! But I will be with other
Tolkienish-folk, attending the 34th annual Mythopoeic Society Conference
which is here in Nashville. I'll be presenting my paper: "Does Gender
Matter? Women, Tolkien and the Online Fanfiction Community." It's also
archived here for your reading pleasure (*wink*):

I also sent it to the Powers That Be at Green Books at TORn, but nobody
replied. (Except Tookish: Thanks for reading it!)

I was really looking forward to another break from the Southern heat in
summer, but MythCon is the exact same weekend, and once my paper was
accepted, I _had_ to go.

I'll miss you all... though I am so grateful to have been able to see many
of you at the Oscar Party. Keep the Barliflame burning!

(((Rohirric-sized hugs)))
