The following problem was called to my attention today. Please take note of
the solution and/or view:

I informed the Hyatt that in all likelihood many of you may choose to stay
at the Hotel Rex, but they would not deduct the fee, which they state is
hotel policy relating to labor costs.

Ok, well, I just had an enlightening phone conversation with the Hyatt.

Our courtesy agreement with the Hyatt makes no specification about how many
people are allowed in the room. It states 199.00 for a single or double
room. I just spoke with the customer sales representative that I have been
dealing with and she apologized for the vagueness of the agreement, and
confirmed that the hotel does indeed charge $25.00 extra per night, per
person.

However, she asked *sotto voce* if she could let me in on a little secret,
to which I responded "Of course." She went on to say "no one ever checks on
how many people are in the room." With nearly 700 rooms, I can imagine that
that is true.

I am very unhappy that the Hyatt was unable to officially adhere to the
information conveyed in our courtesy agreement. I leave it up to you as to
whether you wish to fudge the number of people in your room or switch to the
Hotel Rex.

I will have to adapt the information on the hotel page. Thank you for
calling this to my attention.
