I don’t think we’re ever going to all agree on one place, to be honest.

I agree with Mallorn (and all you HoF-ers know that is pretty amazing!)
I think they have Cirque de Soleil in Orlando also. That would be my second
choice, after Houston.

I could see the draw of Vegas as a party spot, so in that regard, maybe it
is a good choice for a Bash, but it wouldn't be my choice from what I saw
when I was there. It's just not a pretty place--it looks like a concrete
jungle and nothing is natural. It is its own sub-culture, but it is unique.
I think you either love it or you are totally disinterested in it. As far as
the heat vs. AC thing, there is no middle ground. The heat is intense but so
is the AC inside, which is usally freezing.
There were no non-hotel restaurants when I went there, in the early 90s.
Very odd. The only draw to me would be Cirque de Soleil, aside from the
company!!
If you want something Americana, I would say Graceland or New Orleans. I did
New Orleans and I would return there more quickly than Texas or LV.
How about Orlando???? Now that is vacation-worthy.
~mallorn~ (not meaning to be a downer, just realistic.)

Oh! I am convinced! I would just love Vegas. And, we know that it isn't
overpriced and lots to do, shows, food, gambling, Lake Mead, and they don't
throw you out at 2AM!

Las Vegas!! A place that has many things for many different things, And like
Po says, Yes it can be cheap if you dont gamble your life away!!!! But then
again you can usually the coupon books and I can see Jincey limping from big
casino to big casino using her one free pull on those massive slot machines
they have displayed. And trust me it is fun, and there is tons to see if you
dont want to spend any money at all too. But, holy crap is it hot in the
summer. However, everything is A/Ced to the max and the temp gets reasonable
at night. I know it may not be some peoples cup of tea but it really does
have alot to offer. Besides, Jincey wanted to see that Sex shop in Seattle,
just imagine how much fun she can have prowling the Strawberry Patch or the
Bunny Ranch!!!! Now that would be something to see, heheh!!!
